Who this is for

You live in Nha Trang, your stay is running out, and leaving the country for good is not the plan. That is the whole audience of this page. Some people come because the visa-free window closes this week, some because the lease and the work are here and the every-six-weeks rhythm has worn thin, and some because doing it alone once was enough.

Doing it alone is genuinely possible — I am not going to pretend otherwise. What breaks is rarely the road. It is the border: not everyone at the counters speaks English, the order of the windows changes, opening hours drift. You leave with a margin and still end up spending a night in a border town. And if you are also getting a new e-visa on the way, the real blocker shows up — the government portal rejects Russian cards and plenty of other foreign ones, so there is nothing to pay the fee with while you are already standing at the crossing.

What makes the Nha Trang run different

Two things, and both are worth knowing before you book.

First, this is not a same-day trip. Da Nang leaves at night for Lao Bao and is back the same afternoon. Every border is further from Nha Trang, so you leave in the evening, cross in the morning and return the following evening. Roughly twenty-four hours on the clock, two days on the calendar.

Second — and this is what people actually pay for here — the administrator stays with the group from departure to return, the crossing included. On the Da Nang routes the escort takes you to the checkpoint and waits outside. Here you do not have to guess which window to approach or what to say; someone who does this every week is standing next to you.

The two routes

Laos, the Bo Y crossing. The coach leaves at 21:00. Three pick-up points: 77 Thai Nguyen at 21:00, No. 4 Tran Phu next to Muong Thanh at 21:15, Hoang Van Thu at 21:30.

Cambodia, the Moc Bai crossing. Departure at 21:30 from the southern and northern points. Visa processing at this border takes around four hours, longer than in Laos, and the stamp option costs more.

If you have no preference, take Laos: cheaper for a stamp, faster for a visa. Cambodia is there for the dates when the Laos coach is already full.

How it works

  1. 1–2 weeks ahead

    Book through the administrator

Send the date and the direction; the administrator confirms your place. Popular dates sell out and there is no waiting list, so turning up at the stop on the night does not work here.

  2. 21:00 / 21:30

    Evening: the pick-up point

You come to your point and get the ticket there. The Laos coach collects three points between 21:00 and 21:30; the Cambodia one leaves at 21:30 from the southern and northern points.

  3. overnight

    On the road

A berth, air conditioning, wireless chargers and free Wi-Fi. Several stops along the way — there is no toilet on board, which is normal for Vietnamese sleeper coaches.

  4. morning

    The border

Out of Vietnam, the other side, back in. For a stamp it takes as long as the queue takes. For the 90-day visa add processing: about four hours on the Cambodian side, noticeably faster on the Laos one.

  5. next evening

    Back in Nha Trang

The same group, the same coach, and you are home with a new period of stay.

What it costs

Cambodia, Moc Bai — 45-day stamp

1,600,000 VND

  • The same return trip by sleeper bus
  • Departure 21:30, southern and northern pick-up points
  • A different crossing when the Laos coach is full

200,000 VND more than Laos — that is the route, not the service.

90-day visa done for you, single entry

4,200,000 VND

  • Return trip plus a new 90-day e-visa
  • Application and government fee on us
  • Result guaranteed or a 100% refund

Same price on both routes.

90-day visa done for you, multiple entry

4,900,000 VND

  • The same, with the right to leave and come back
  • Worth it if you fly to Thailand or home in between
  • Result guaranteed or a 100% refund

Nothing to pay separately on the government portal.

The final number depends on your dates, where you are now and which border you cross — we count it in chat, before you pay anything.

What is included

  • Sleeper bus Nha Trang — border — Nha Trang, with a berth, both ways.
  • Booking in advance through the administrator; the ticket is handed to you at the pick-up point.
  • The administrator with the group for the whole route, the crossing included.
  • Either a 45-day stamp or a new 90-day e-visa, your choice.
  • For the visa option: the application filled in, the government fee paid with our card, the correct entry point set.
  • Air conditioning, wireless charging, free Wi-Fi and stops along the way.

You can also take the transport alone, without a visa — the stamp trip is exactly that. If you already hold a valid visa and simply need to exit and re-enter, say so when you book.

The guarantee, and where it does not apply

Trips that include a new 90-day e-visa carry our guarantee on both routes: the result or a 100% refund. There are no conditions and no exclusions. We pay the visa fee upfront, so the risk sits with us.

Stamp trips are not covered, and it is fairer to say that plainly: the length of stay is granted by the border officer. Our part of the job is to get you there and walk you through it.

There is one real reason entry is refused — being on the Vietnamese immigration blacklist. We have no additional conditions of our own and turn nobody away at the door.

What to bring, and how to pay

A passport with time left on it. Cash for the passport fees at the crossing — the administrator names the amount when your booking is confirmed, and it is handed over in person. Water, a snack and something warm: the air conditioning runs all night.

Payment is in dong by QR or in cash, in USDT, or in roubles with a 6% surcharge. The trip itself can be paid on the day of departure; the visa fee is paid upfront, because that is when we pay it too.

Which option is right depends less on the price of one trip than on how often you repeat it. The stamp is cheaper once and comes back around in six weeks. The 90-day visa costs more and buys one crossing per quarter — plus the Vietnamese bank card that a stamp will never open. Tell us when your current stay ends and we will price both over six months instead of over one journey.

Common questions

How long does the whole trip take?
About twenty-four hours: an evening departure, a night on the road, the border in the morning and midday, back the following evening. On the calendar that is two days — plan it that way.
Laos or Cambodia?
For a stamp Laos is cheaper: 1,400,000 VND against 1,600,000 VND. For the 90-day visa the price is identical, but processing on the Cambodian side takes around four hours, longer than in Laos. All else being equal we suggest Laos; Cambodia is the answer when the Laos coach on your date is already full.
Do I need a visa for the country we exit into?
Russian and Belarusian passport holders do not need one on the Laos route. On other passports the rules have to be checked before you book — tell us your citizenship and we will confirm. Note also that your passport sets your Vietnamese stay: 45 days for Russia, 30 for Kazakhstan and Belarus, which means going more often.
How far ahead should I book?
One to two weeks is comfortable. Booking runs through the administrator and there is no waiting list — if the coach on your date is full, we offer a neighbouring date or the other direction.
My visa has already expired. Will you take me?
Tell us before booking. An overstay is solvable, but the procedure and the fine depend on the number of days, and that is worked out in advance rather than at the border.
How many times can I do this?
There is no limit. The only difference is frequency: a 45-day stamp brings you back to this question every six weeks, a 90-day visa once a quarter.

Tell us three things — your dates, where you are now and a scan of your passport page. That is the whole starting kit; everything after it is on us. If your case turns out cheaper to do yourself, we will say so.
